Casual Ways to Ask for Clarification
In informal settings, you can use these simple phrases:
“I’m sorry, could you say that again?”
“What do you mean by that?”
“Could you explain that a bit more?”

“I didn’t quite catch that. Can you repeat it?”
Polite or Formal Ways to Ask for Clarification
In formal settings like work or school, use more polite forms:
“Could you clarify what you meant by [point]?”
